Castle Howard’s Grounds will be transformed into a magical looking-glass world in May, when we host ‘Alice’,  an enchanting outdoor promenade theatre production presented by Park Lane Stage Company. The cast and crew consist entirely of highly professional final-year performance arts students at Leeds City College and we are delighted to welcome them back.

The show takes you on a tour through Castle Howard’s Gardens and Grounds, following Alice on her extraordinary journey in the imaginary world of Wonderland. You’ll meet the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Duchess and her piglet, Tweedledum & Tweedledee, the Queen of Hearts, the Mock Turtle and many other amazing characters who will entertain you in song, dance and music. A treat for young and old alike!

Rehearsals are taking place now, so don’t be surprised if you spot a giant mushroom or a singing caterpillar in the grounds!

This enchanting  show will take place every day, rain or shine, at 2pm between Sunday 23rd May and Monday 31st May. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 07762 159163 or 01653 648623. Limited availability on the day.  The price is £15 for adults; £10 for under-14s (free for children under 4). School groups are welcome.  The promenade route starts on the south side of the House, and the show lasts for approximately two-and-a-half hours.
