The Liveries Wood Group has created a remarkable enterprise to raise funds for the arboretum.

They have taken fallen oak branches from our collection, cut them into 100 small logs, and sent the logs to a group of famous people and to their own expert carvers. We now have about 70 items, they are extraordinary, unique and very highly collectible (as well as fitting perfectly on mantelpieces!).

They will all be on show at the Wild About Wood Festival (11th and 12th September), and all are up for auction. Some will be auctioned at Bonham's in Bond Street on September 16th. For the others, bidding has now started on www.i-bidder.com/branchingout where you can see all of them. Online bidding will run until noon on September 30th. Bids can also be left at the Wild about Wood Festival.
