Black Beauty: Outdoor Evening Theatre

PEEL Heritage brings the classic novel ‘Black Beauty’ to life this summer at Castle Howard in a stylish and contemporary open-air theatre production.

As told through the eyes of the stallion, the story follows Black Beauty’s life as a workhorse in the 19th century – from his carefree days on a country farm to a more gruelling existence pulling cabs in London, and his dark days down the mine.

The first 20 minutes of the production will be performed in promenade, providing a perfect setting to enjoy the story. There will also be the opportunity to meet a ‘real life’ Black Beauty.
