Out & About

A stay at the Lakeside Holiday Park will give you easy access to the best of North Yorkshire, as we are ideally located for exploring the city of York, the North York Moors National Park, the Yorkshire Wolds and the east coast resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey.

The Howardian Hills

Castle Howard is located within the Howardian Hills 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' - one of North Yorkshire's best-kept secrets - with endless ways to spend your day, from walking through the open fields and woodlands, cycling and horse riding, through to visiting one of the area's historic houses.  The nearest market town is Malton, a thriving rural community just 6 miles from Castle Howard.  Malton is a delightful compact town, which has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay locally, including a great selection of shops and a good supermarket, a lively choice of café bars and restaurants.  They also have an excellent Visitor Information Centre located in the town library.
