The Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park is conveniently located in the heart of North Yorkshire.

The park is within walking distance of Castle Howard and only a short car or bus journey or cycle ride from the picturesque market town of Malton. We have a range of facilities available to make sure your stay is carefree and enjoyable.

Centrally Heated Toilet Block

We have a centrally heated amenities block with free toilets, hot showers, sinks and coin-operated hair dryers. There is fresh water available as well as grey waste and ELSAN disposal.

Children’s Play Area

There is a plenty of space for children to play, and they are welcome to play on site with consideration for others. Ball games are permitted in designated areas – please ask staff for details

Gas Sales

Gas is not available to buy on site; the nearest retailer is in Malton, approximately five miles away. Please ask staff for directions.

Laundrette

We have a coin-operated washing machine and dryer.

Farm Shop

We do not have a shop on site, but Castle Howard Farm Shop is only a short distance away in Castle Howard's Stable Courtyard, which is free to enter and has ample free parking.

Here you can pick up everyday groceries, fresh bread and estate made cakes, fruit, vegetables, cheese, beers, and wines and spirits. The in store butchery stocks local meat, poultry and game, and is the perfect place to pick up meat for the barbecue or for breakfast.The Farm Shop is open daily, please click here for opening times.

Local Bus Service

There is a bus service that runs between the Lakeside Holiday Park and Malton, please click here for more transport information.

Public Telephones

There is a public telephone in Coneysthorpe, just a short walk from the site. Mobile phone reception is limited in the area.

Wifi Access

We regret that Wifi is not available at the holiday park, however can be accessed from the Courtyard Café at Castle Howard.

Dog Exercise Field

We have a designated dog-walking area. Owners should pick up after their dog. Dog owners can also enjoy the many footpaths and bridleways on the estate and dogs are welcome in the Castle Howard grounds.

Eating Out

There are a number of fantastic local pubs in nearby villages and a range of restaurants in Malton, Helmsley and York to suit every taste and budget should you wish to eat out. Our staff will be happy to advise.
