Volunteers – Gardens Team
Would you be willing to join a small but enthusiastic team of volunteers helping in the gardens and grounds of Castle Howard, one of the nation's most famous and impressive stately homes.

There is always a variety of things to do including planting, weeding, pruning, hoeing, edging and watering. We don't require a high level of skill or previous training, but we do need enthusiasm and a keenness to help and do a good job.

You will gain knowledge and experience while enjoying the wonderful surroundings and meeting people of similar interests.

Volunteers work with us from March to the end of October, across Monday to Friday.

Kitchen Assistant/Porter
Salary: Up to £7.50 per hour, zero hour contract fixed term until 1 September 2017
We require a Kitchen Assistant to carry out daily food preparation; assist in the production of hot and cold food in accordance with the menu and guidelines to high standards of presentation and quality. You will have previous food experience within a kitchen environment and a formal cooking/catering qualification or training would be an advantage.
