Volunteers – Gardens Team
Would you be willing to join a small but enthusiastic team of volunteers helping in the gardens and grounds of Castle Howard, one of the nation's most famous and impressive stately homes.

There is always a variety of things to do including planting, weeding, pruning, hoeing, edging and watering. We don't require a high level of skill or previous training, but we do need enthusiasm and a keenness to help and do a good job.

You will gain knowledge and experience while enjoying the wonderful surroundings and meeting people of similar interests.

Volunteers work with us from March to the end of October, across Monday to Friday.

Boat Operative
Salary: Up to £7.50 and over 18s only
We require a person to operate our boat on the Great Lake;

This entails the opening and closing procedure, processing payments and exercising exemplary customer service at all times.

Due to this role being weather-dependent other duties within Security, Admissions or Car Park Management may be allocated.

Over 18s only, and you must be a strong swimmer.

First-aid training would be desirable.
