Infinate Arts Kites
Join us for a weekend of spectacular Kite displays and Family fun. Come and catch the wind on the North Lawn at Castle Howard and enjoy spectacular kite displays coordinated by Infinite Arts. There will be a number of professional Kite Artists on hand with an array of amazing kites that have been flown all over the world. Bring your own kites to fly or if you don’t have a kite - well why not come and make your own in our kite making tent on site.

Prepare to be dazzled as the sky above Castle Howard is filled with colour!

Michael Goddard: Mike has been exploring the remarkable world of kites for over 30 years. Mike’s background is as a graphic designer, photographer and artist. He has exhibited work in art galleries in the UK, including London and Amsterdam. His kite designs feature abstract compositions with the strong use of colour and form.

Frances Anderson: Frances is an artist who makes unique kites using Japanese paper, bamboo and carbon fibre with techniques she has developed over several years. She has already traveled this year to festivals in Qatar and Italy.

Tom Greenfield: is a specialist quad line kite flier who flies with the world famous Decorators team and together with Josh Mitcheson currently holds the position of quad pairs champions in the UK.

Peter and Sarah Bindon:
make and fly inflatable kites including teddy bears, turtles and much more. These large soft kites fill with air and move gently in the sky.

Pauline Taylor :
UK – Pauline will provide commentary and information about the kites in the air along with flying some of her own unusual painted kites.

Rainbow kites:
come fly with us - At various times during the day – we will invite the public to fly in the demonstration kite flying area where will be able to advise and help you to fly one of our collection of Rainbow Delta Kites.


Bring your own kites to fly or if you don’t have a kite - well why not come and make your own - Between 11am - 4pm you can visit our Kite Making Workshop in the Grecian Hall and make your very own kite to fly and take away. Find us through the Boar garden.
