Chapel Services

Our chapel is regularly used for services for local parishioners led by our chaplain, the Reverend Anne Freestone

Message from the chaplain: "Another year, another season for Castle Howard. Being chaplain means being part of a team who serve the public and also it means looking after the wellbeing of the Howard family and Castle Howard staff. The role also encompasses the local communities who are invited to come and offer their music, worship and faithfulness and therefore bring life to the chapel. This year’s chapel programme is busier than ever!"

Upcoming services are listed below. Services are open to all residents from the Howardian Benefice group of parishes and are free to attend:
  • Friday 30 July: Story and Song with Alex Cranfield, St Peter's Church worship band and Archbishop Sentamu at 6.30pm
  • Sunday 30 July: Deanery event, afternoon service at Coneysthorpe Chapel with Archbishop Sentamu (details to be confirmed)
  • Sunday 20 August: Celebration service with the Hartlepool Girls & Boys Brigade at 6pm

Please note the Chapel is not wheelchair accessible, apologies for any disappointment this may cause.
