Saturday 7th December Booker Information

Information for bookers impacted by Castle Howard's early closure:

Alice’s Christmas Wonderland
If you are a Member with a booking after 2.30pm today:

We will honour your booking for tomorrow, Sunday 8th December, for timeslots from 4.30pm.
If this isn’t possible for you, we will contact you on Monday with regards to refunding your tickets. You can then rebook on an alternative date.

If you are not a Member with a booking after 2.30pm today:

You can move your tickets to a different date in the Seetickets Customer Service Area.
If you can’t move to an alternative date, we will contact you on Monday with more information about applying for a refund.

Father Christmas in the Castle
If you have a booking for the 4pm, 5.15pm or 6.30pm show, we will contact you on Monday with information on how to apply for a refund. Alternatively, you can exchange your booking subject to availability - there is currently availability on the 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th December. There is no availability on Sunday 8th December.

Santa’s Grotto
If you have a booking for the 4.15pm show, we will honour this for the same time slot on Sunday 8th December, or you can change your booking to a different date via the Seetickets Customer Service Area.

Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea Hosted by the Hatter
If your booking was for the 4.30pm sitting we will contact you on Monday with information on how to apply for a refund. Sadly there is no more availability for this event.

If your sitting didn’t go ahead today, you can exchange it for an alternative date. There is currently availability on 12th, 16th, 19th, 20th, 27th and 28th December.
If you can’t move to an alternative date, we will contact you on Monday with more information about applying for a refund.

Sunday 8th December Booker Information

Castle Howard will reopen, however the safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our top priority. As such, we are closing parts of the site, including:

The Boathouse
Skelf Island Adventure Playground
Woodland areas

Alice’s Christmas Wonderland in the House, Father Christmas in the Castle and Afternoon Teas are currently planned to go ahead as scheduled. Santa's Grotto in the Boathouse has changed location to Santa's Workshop - all Grotto bookers will be directed to the new location by the ticket office as they arrive.

We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.

This will save you money at the Ticket Office, and any disappointment if we are sold out on the day of your arrival.
