Gardens: Open daily excluding 25 December 2024.

Open daily 10am - 3pm (last entry at 3pm)

Gardens and Grounds
Members-only: 9am - 10am
Gardens and Skelf Island Adventure Playground: 10am - 5pm (last entry at 4pm)

Food and drink
Coffee Shop: 9.30am - 4.30pm
Courtyard Café: 10am - 4.30pm (last food orders are 4pm)
Boathouse Café: Monday - Friday 11am - 3pm, Saturday & Sunday 10.30am - 4pm
Boathouse Kitchen: Closed
Fitzroy Café: 10am - 4pm

Shopping
Farm Shop: 10am - 5pm
House Gift Shop: 10am - 4pm
Garden Centre: 10am - 5pm

Important information
Our onsite outlets operate on a cashless basis.

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October
The House will be closed on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October. The Gardens and Courtyard will be open as usual.

Monday 28th October - Sunday 3rd November
The Boar Garden will be closed while we build our Christmas Marquee. Please access the Fitzroy Café and House Gift Sop via the main House entrance.

Group Visits

Group discounts available for bookings of 20 or more people, please visit our Group Visits page.

Affiliate Schemes

  • Max Card holders are entitled to free entry for one adult and up to three children.
  • Yorkshire's Great Houses, Castles & Gardens pass holders are entitled to free entry for two adults and up to three children.
  • Art Fund’s National Art Pass holders are entitled to a 50% discount on inclusive House and Grounds admission. Tickets must be purchased at the Ticket Office on the day of visit, and cannot be booked online in advance.
  • Visit York VIP and York Pass holders can redeem admission on arrival.
  • Stay Play Explore vouchers can be redeemed on arrival.
  • Guests at our Holiday Cottages are entitled to a free visit during their stay.
  • Guests at our Lakeside Holiday Park get 2 for 1 admission to the Grounds and Skelf Island Adventure Playground.

Admission for all of our affiliate schemes can be redeemed on the day at the Ticket Office by presenting a valid membership card or proof of entitlement.
