What a gem you are! We have loved staying in this first rate cottage, so pretty. We visited Castle Howard grounds, garden centre (for logs) and shops. Great scones, cream & tea in the Courtyard Café. All the estate staff are so friendly and helpful. Malton is a short drive away, we used the older road, seems to be quicker. Pretty town to shop in. travelled to Whitby today for fish & chips, gorgeous place to walk around. Thank you for our wonderful stay in Yorkshire. P.S. Nearest pub, The Crown & Cushion – we had a great Steak Pie & Chips one evening, worth a try.

A lovely cottage. Stylish, clean and cosy. Rather a misty, murky week but we enjoyed our trips out to York, Malton & Scarborough. The ‘Walk in the Woods’ was quite spectacular + set us off into the Xmas spirit!

November 2022

We have had a wonderful time at the cottage this week the highlight of the visit was the ‘Walk in the Woods’ Christmas theme at Castle Howard. Amazing that we managed to spend three hours at the house enjoying the Christmas spectacle. We appreciated all the hard work that the staff put in to create such a wonderful Christmas theme. Congratulations to all the staff involved and the volunteers too! Sophie enjoyed the walks in the grounds, no one was left out! Thank you again.
