The Nyetimber Estate is situated in West Sussex and is a paragon of British heritage, from being mentioned in the Domesday book in 1086 by its then Anglo Saxon name ‘Nitimbreha’, (meaning ‘new wood’) to Henry VIII gifting the Estate to Anne of Cleves as part of their annulment. Naturally, this fits well with Castle Howard, one of the jewels of British stately homes, with over 300 years of Family heritage. Nyetimber have been crafting their wines in the South of England for more than 30 years and were the first to craft English Sparkling Wine exclusively from the three celebrated grape varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Nyetimber pride themselves on crafting sparkling wine that rivals some of the most prestigious wine sparkling wine houses in the world. Every bottle is made from 100% estate-owned fruit with Nyetimber owning the process from vine to bottle. Sparkling wine expert and one of today’s most prolific wine author Tom Stevenson notes: “If not for Nyetimber, there would be no English Sparkling Wine industry today”.
