Castle Howard will host the first Countryfile Live event to be held in the North, the event linked to the BBC's flagship rural affairs programme will take place from 15 - 18th August 2019.


With over 250,000 people having visited BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace since 2016, 2019 will see two events being staged with one at Castle Howard! BBC's Countryfile is one of Britain's most loved TV programmes, attracting over 5 million viewers each week and this year celebrated its 30th anniversary. 

BBC Countryfile Live Castle Howard will include a range of features including the Village Green, the Countryfile Experience featuring the programmes presenters, the Wildlife Zone, Farming in Action and Passion for British Livestock.The new event will represent the best of the northern countryside and celebrate regional farming, capturing the essence of the Yorkshire countryside, in the county where presenter John Craven got his first break as a reporter on the Harrogate Advertiser.

Sunday 18th 9.30am - 5.30pm

Are there any age restrictions to attend Countryfile Live?

Children aged 16 and under be accompanied by a full paying adult.

Children 4 and under will not require a ticket.

Will my ticket allow me entry into Castle Howard
Your Countryfile Live ticket will not permit you entry to Castle Howard and you will need to purchase a separate ticket, however if you show your Countryfile Live ticket at the Castle Howard ticket office you will receive a discount on admission to Castle Howard.
Is there sufficient parking?
Yes, there will be dedicated parking for the event
Will there be a dedicated traffic management plan?
Yes, the organisers will be working with dedicated traffic management team alongside the local authorities including the police and council to ensure a smooth traffic management plan is operated and visitors enter and leave the site with limited delays
What will I see at the show?
You can expect to see Passion for British Livestock, the Village Green and the Craven Arms Pub Garden. There will be over 400 exhibitors to shop from as well. 
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome! Although we ask that you remain as considerate as possible to your fellow visitors. 
Will the Countyfile presenters be there?
Yes, we are planning that as many presenters as possible will join us at the Show. We will release a programme of who is there shortly.
Will the programme be different each day?
The programme is designed to be the same each day although presenter appearances will vary according to attraction timetables.
