Our changing programme of exhibitions and displays reveal often surprising aspects of Castle Howard's history. Sometimes focusing on social history and impacts of the House and family, sometimes highlighting particular elements of the House or collections.

Historic or contemporary, the exhibitions are designed to add to visitors’ understanding and enjoyment of this fascinating place.

In 2018 we open the Courtyard Gallery and hosted a contemporary art exhibition by Mat Collishaw - keep an eye out for what's coming next to the new Courtyard Gallery.
