We can't wait for the Castle Race Series to join us in July, where thousands of competitors will race their way across the weekend. Find out why we think you should not miss this weekend...

1. It's our 12th Anniversary

The Castle Race Series marks 12 years at Castle Howard. The Castle Howard Multisport Festival will be taking place on the 23th and 24th July. The Castle Race Series team are ready and waiting to host this event yet again!

2. 6 Disciplines to Choose From

Join us to race through the glorious rural idyll of Yorkshire and the Howardian Hills. Pick your discipline – triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swim and run – and choose a distance from starter to elite. Recruit your friends and celebrate completing your challenge in our festival village.

3. The Castle Race Series has been awarded a European Duathlon Qualifier

Calling all Age Group racers! Castle Race Series will be hosting the British Triathlon European Duathlon Middle Qualifier. This will be the second Duathlon Middle Qualifier of the 2022 series, following the race hosted at Cholmondeley Castle in June. Sign up to be in the chance of racing for GB.

4. We welcome the BTF Yorkshire Junior Series

The Castle Race Series is hosting The BTF Yorkshire Junior Series, so we encourage all local juniors to sign up and earn those valuable places/points!

Not competing for the Junior Series but want to take part? No problem, the Castle Race Series will be hosting triathlon races for 9-16 year olds no matter what your ability.

5. Beautiful Yorkshire Scenery on the run course

Ready to run a Marathon? Missed the Castle Race Series on their London Ballot? Fear not! Fill your lungs with fresh Yorkshire country air. With a four-lap course to complete, take in the stunning views and finish in front of the iconic house entrance doors. We also have a 10k and half marathon taking place on the Sunday.

6. Race for a good cause

Race for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Castle Race Series charity partner still have charity entries available. Why not make a difference, help a fantastic cause and also have fun doing so.

7. A Period Drama Dream

Live your inner Bridgeton fantasy, race at infamous “Duke of Hastings” home, one of the top locations for the Period Drama sensation. A bucket list must!

Also if you’re visiting the area to race, don’t forget Castle Howard is just 15 miles north of York and 30 miles from The Lake District. There is plenty to enjoy and explore on an extended weekend break.
