Castle Howard is seeking an engaging and passionate Butchery Manager to join our team.

You will lead and manage the butchery department, championing the quality of our meat in-store, ensuring your counter always looks immaculate and attractive. Your role involves not only delivering an excellent level of customer service but also leading the butchery team to excel in their responsibilities. Sharing your extensive food knowledge with both customers and team members, you will utilize our own Estate-reared breeds, demonstrating energy, enthusiasm, and confidence. You will thrive in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the butchery department, ensuring a high standard of performance and teamwork.
2. Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
3. Champion the quality of fresh meat in-store.
4. Ensure a beautifully merchandised counter display with appropriate POS.
5. Drive and improve basket spend on fresh meat.
6. Provide proactive feedback to the Head of Retail on any recommendations regarding range enhancement and category issues.
7. Comply with internal retail audit and Butchers counter audit requirements.
