We have confirmed a filming contract that will take place at Castle Howard, which will mean a period of closure of the visitor attraction.

Spirits are high at Castle Howard as the historic Yorkshire estate launches a new premium quality gin in partnership with local business Sloemotion Distillery. Inspired by both the 8000acre estate and the ethos of the distillery, the Castle Howard Gin will use ingredients foraged from across the estate.

The government’s roadmap to recovery has given hope that audiences can return to three of Yorkshire’s largest al fresco events. Castle Howard’s live music weekend – featuring the chilled sounds of Ibiza, flag-waving proms and an orchestral performance of Queen’s greatest hits – is set to take place from 20 – 22 August 2021.

Grants of up to £1 million will deliver a lifeline for the heritage sector in England with further support to follow and larger grants for capital projects awarded through the Heritage Stimulus Fund.
