The Gardener role will maximise visitor enjoyment by maintaining excellent standards of presentation and plantsmanship within the gardens of Castle Howard, including lawns, borders, planters and with house plants in accordance with the agreed work plan.

The Gardens department is employed to maintain the public areas of the gardens and grounds surrounding the main house as well as support to other departments such as Forestry and Lakeside Holiday Park. In addition, maintenance of the main avenue, Obelisk and VII Earl Monument are the responsibility of the Gardens Department.
