The Tree Nursery manager will lead the commercial growth of the Castle Howard Tree and Shrub Nursery, increasing both the volume of trees produced as well as revenue and profit. They will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, bare rooted trees and shrub stocks, grown to high environmental and biosecurity standards. They will have responsibility for developing professional relationships with Castle Howard colleagues, suppliers, customers and collaborators as well as managing the Tree Nursery team and supporting the continued development of their nursery production knowledge and commercial skills.

The Tree Nursery Manager will lead the ongoing Tree Nursery expansion project and will have the opportunity to develop and implement novel production systems on the existing site and a newly established production site on the Castle Howard Estate. The role sits within the Castle Howard Natural Environment function which operates as an interdependent team to ensure the sharing of best practice, collaboration on estate development projects and efficient working wherever possible.
