Tickets will be available to buy on the evening.  Please read on for more information and the answer to many frequently asked questions.

Venue: Castle Howard, York YO60 7DA

Directions: 15 miles north east of York, just off the A64

Ticket Sales: Tickets will be available to buy on the evening – Adults £33, Children 4 to 17) £15, Under 4s free.  Cash only.

Essential Information: Car parks open at 4pm | Gates open at 5pm | Pre-concert performance will commence at 6.15pm | The main Proms performance will commence at 7.30pm | The concert will finish with a firework finale at approximately 10.30pm

Disabled Facilities: The concert takes place on a grass lawn with access from the disabled car park being a tarmac road.  Carers will receive a 50% discount on the price of their ticket.  There is no disabled viewing platform.  Special arrangements for car parking is made for blue badge holders, please have your badge on visible display within your vehicle and please follow the directional signage on the evening.

Car Parking: Castle Howard’s main visitor car park is designated disabled parking on the evening (blue badge holders only).  All other cars must park in Lake Field – please follow directional signage on the evening.  Access to the arena is via grassy paths.  Free parking.

Drop Off & Collection:  Will be at Castle Howard’s main visitor car park.  Follow directional signage.

Picnics: This is a picnic style concert, so please bring your own food, drink, chairs and rugs.  There will be a selection of hot and cold food and drink available onside, as well as a fully licensed bar.     You are permitted to bring your own alcohol (including glass bottles) although we do ask that you drink responsibly.  Please take your litter home with you.

What to wear: You are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing.  The concert will take place even in very wet conditions, so please be prepared with waterproof clothing. Bring plenty of layers, as it can become very chilly when the sun sets.

What happens if it rains: The concert will go ahead even in the most inclement weather.

Please note the following items:

No gazebos, or other tented structures are permitted.

Dogs/pets are not permitted onto the concert arena (except assistance dogs).

No barbecues, naked flames, fireworks, sparklers or lawn candles. Bring a touch as the concert will finish in darkness.

The use of recording equipment is not permitted.

Under 18s need to be accompanied by an adult.
