Summer Specials in our Farm Shop
Latest From: Farm Shop
Summer is finally here and what better way to enjoy the season than to spend time with family and friends enjoying a picnic, barbeque or supper al fresco.
Whatever the occasion
,
Castle Howard Farm Shop
has a delicious range of homemade dishes and locally sourced produce to make your summer dining extra special. At the butchery counter meat is sourced mainly from the estate and within a 30 miles radius.
Our great value traditional barbeque packs are perfect for family parties or big gatherings. Priced from £10.00 to £55.00 they can include handmade sausages and burger, flavoured chicken portions, kebabs and grill sticks.
With a great deal on our handmade burgers (10 for £8.00), why not try something a little different? Top with avocado, sweet chilli peppers, crisp lettuce and tomato and chilli jam for a Mexican twist or try a Yorkshire cheese burger with Fountains Gold cheddar, sliced tomato, crisp lettuce, bacon and spicy tomato relish. Pick up everything you need from the Farm Shop, deli and butchery!
For a quick and easy supper for two try our new oven ready dishes - simply unwrap, grill or bake, and serve with the accompaniment of your choice. Be tempted by our new Harrisa chicken, chicken stuffed with pesto, chicken ‘kiev’ or Oriental pork – all prepared in store.
Now in store is a fantastic range of organic vegetables; enjoy Batavia and Cos lettuces, rainbow chard, spinach, pak choi, broccoli, cauliflower, new potatoes, fennel and much more!
Create your own English tapas with our selection of Cumbrian air-dried ham and salami, serve with a selection of English cheese from the deli and artisan bread.
Our range of deli salads are the perfect accompaniment to any of the above. Choose between our popular homemade coleslaw, special potato salad with dill, mustard and gherkins, or Yorkshire feta salad.
Of course, there is always room for dessert and what a better way to celebrate summer than with locally grown strawberries and cream, or mix up with giant meringues and local raspberries for a quick Eton Mess.
It would not be summer without a long cold drink shared with friends; pick up a selection of locally made wines, beers, spirits and ciders to enjoy in the sun over supper.
