Pyramid Walking Tour
1st and 14th September, 2pm

Have you ever wondered why there is a pyramid at Castle Howard? Join our Curatorial team for this walking tour to one of the most intriguing features in the unique eighteenth-century landscape, and discover more about the inspiration behind the architecture you see along the way. The tour will take in the the tree-lined Avenue and Gatehouse (exterior only) before following the Medieval-style walls to the Pyramid itself, where you will have the rare opportunity to venture inside.

This outdoor walking tour will last 90 minutes, and covers around 2 miles (in total) over uneven terrain. As a result the tour is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. Our other tours, such as A Grand Tour of Castle Howard or Castle Howard’s 21st Century Renaissance Tour are accessible for wheelchair users.

Your ticket for this tour includes access to the Gardens on the same day. Reduced Members price is available for this event. Choose your chosen date from the calendar on the next screen.
