The Castle Howard Arboretum is home to one of the UK's most successful red squirrel breeding programmes.

As part of this conservation initiative, the Arboretum is home to David Attenborough and Cinnamon, a young pair of red squirrels. David was named following a public vote involving thousands of people, while the latest arrival, a female called Cinnamon, was named by the Arboretum's Red Squirrel Volunteers.

You can try to spot David the Arboretum's Red Squirrel Enclosure, open daily from 10am. Cinnamon will be joining David in the enclosure in the coming weeks once she has settled in to her new surroundings.
