Half Term: Creepy Halloween
Sat 21st October 2017 to Sun 5th November 2017
Event Type: Childrens Event

Let your imagination run wild this half term as you explore the 'haunted' Burnt Out Wing of Castle Howard - uninhabited and out of bounds to visitors for many years.

For Halloween 2017 it will be 'haunted' by a cast of imaginary spooky characters and creatures, designed to thrill and surprise unwary visitors. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, this half term Halloween experience will thrill younger visitors, and give their parents a glimpse into a part of Castle Howard not normally open to the public.

And for the little ones, there will be a Halloween trail, a themed sweet shop and a dressing up competition, for a less scary but equally fun day out.

Included in the admission price to the house and/or grounds you'll have access to spend as long as you dare on a trail around the Burnt Out Wing, finding spooky happenings and creatures along the way. Enjoy a trick or treat from the potting shed sweet shop as you leave and head on a treasure hunt style walk through Ray Wood.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - We advise that you bring suitable footwear as you will encounter uneven terrain in both Ray Wood and the Burnt Out Wing.

Last admission to the Burnt Out Wing is at 15:30.
